Prep Your Skin

For the most even, natural-looking tan, start with clean, smooth skin. Shower and gently exfoliate, paying extra attention to dry areas like your elbows, knees, ankles, and feet.

Once your skin is completely dry, apply a light layer of moisturizer to areas that tend to absorb more product, such as elbows, knees, hands, feet, and ankles. This helps prevent those areas from developing darker than the rest of your body.

Apply OLIOKINDRED Self-Tanning Lotion

Apply a quarter-sized amount of OLIOKINDRED Self-Tanning Lotion to a tanning mitt or applicator brush. Start at your legs and work your way up, applying in sections with long, sweeping motions for a smooth, streak-free finish.

Use a lighter touch around your wrists, ankles, hands, and feet, and blend well for the most natural result. For your back, use a back applicator or ask someone to help.

Let Your Tan Develop

Allow the lotion to fully absorb before getting dressed. For best results, wait at least 1 hour before showering, swimming, sweating, or working out.

Your tan will continue to develop over the next 6–8 hours. For a deeper glow, apply another layer after about 1 hour.

Maintain Your Tan

To help extend your OLIOKINDRED glow, moisturize daily and avoid excessive exfoliation. Reapply as needed to maintain your desired shade.

As often as needed! Keep an eye on your tan, and when it starts to fade go ahead and reapply. Most customers find that their tan lasts about 7 days before fading, but if you notice a difference sooner, there’s no reason not to reapply.

Take the time to apply it right – exfoliate first, be generous with the amount you use, and use a self tanning mitt. We find that we can extend the life of our tan by sticking to warm (not hot) showers and by moisturizing daily.
